Car Broken Into

I hoped I would never have to make one of these threads, but here I am doing so now. Tonight my car got broken into, someone busted the driver side window and stole my radar detector, and thats all they stole. I was having an awesome night too. I went into NYC to see one of my favorite bands, MUSE, so I took a train in instead of driving. In the 6 or so hours it was sitting there someone decided to break into my car. If there are any other people who use the MTA lots be careful, as the MTA Police told me this has been happening quite a bit. I would have taken pics but it was too dark out, but it was just a mess of glass everywhere. I am glad all they took was my radar detector, I had a bunch of other stuff in my car worth some value. Hopefully things will go smoothly with insurance and I will have a new driver side window...

Sorry to hear that Bro'. These lowlifes that those these things, will eventually end up in jail. With the police report, your Insurance will sent you a check within 6 months. I have an sensitivity alarm installed. Most thieves will pound on the car first to see if there is an alarm, then they may leave it alone. I have a lojack in it too. The public lots here where I live has had news reports on break ins too. All should avoid them if possible. Lot's of luck to you.

Sorry to hear man,

I had my Evo broke into about 3 months ago also. The sad thing is it was in the apartment parking lot with bright lights shining on the lot. You figured someone would see or hear it but nope. Nothing, the po po didn't do squat (guess they only good at harrassing us). I lost my garmin nuvi 350 and a work laptop (worth 4k)... I feel your pain. Insuranced covered mine, I am sure they will cover yours. You maybe even be able to get the radar dectector covered if you can talk smoothly.

Sorry to hear bro. Thats exactly why I hide everything thats of value when I have to street park. If anything is visible, that just gives these scumbags a reason to break in.
