since you drive an 06 I couldn't imagine why your injectors would be bad unless the pumps are contaminated or something which is kind of rare, still it wouldn't be knocking.

We would also need to know if you're stock or not to make a valid answer.

EDIT: duh I didn't read yor signature.

When you get your tune they should be able to tell you if you have knock or not. You could always get logging software.

I'm guessing you mean a ticking rather than a knocking...knock or pinging sounds very different, what you're most likely hearing is the typical 4G lifter tick. I've had it on my car since brand new and it hasn't gone away after nearly 5,000 miles. After reading a lot about it, it's very common to the engine and isn't really harmful. Put in a quart of Marvel Mystery Oil with your next oil change and follow standard Mitsu lifter break-in procedure (if I remember right, slowly rev the engine to 3,000rpm and hold for about 5 seconds - repeat 20-30 times). Apparently that's made it go away for some.

Remove some of your mods and bring it to the dealership. Do you hear the noise under full and part throttle?

Agreed. Evos have a very loud mechanical idle. It used to bug me too, but after listening to some other Evos and being on EvoM for a while, it's perfectly normal.
