I will also have to say bad first mod and a total waste of money.....

You could have gotten a buchur cone filter for $80 and have gotten the same gains. All you paid for is the bling factor, the IC pipes in the injen kits follow the stock route which doesnt give you any benefit whatsoever over stock. The only way to get a gain from IC pipes is to have them as short as possible. These kits are made by buschur, AMS, ETS, etc and require a battery relocation or mini-battery kit.

So while you will have a pretty looking engine bay you could have managed your "mod" money a little better and got a better bang for your buck.

I thought hard intercooler pipes DO give benefits over stock since they dont expand like the stock intercooler hose, and boost response should be improved. I was reading in import tuner the other day, and the injen intercooler hard pipe they installed on their evo 9 added about the same power as an intake.

See I have read this so many times but I have also read the exact opposite that they are worthless...

I have seen dyno sheets showing the gains but never seen a dyno sheet that disproves the gain. So I am going to have to believe they do produce gains over the stock box. I guess I cant be sure till I put them on myself
