I wouldn't cosult legal advice just yet. In case you haven't noticed, their fees are pretty chunky. Like someone else suggested, run the carfax yourself and see if the buyer isn't just trying to pull the wool over your eyes. If he's right, then check the pd rpt. And if it really happened, consult a lawyer

it might depend on where you bought it also, here in pa dealers only have to tell you if it's more than 500 in damage, never heard the 10% thing, by the way i sell cars and have seen small accidents, nothing ever with a police report though...in pa the police only give a report if one of the cars in the accident is not driveable or someone is hurt in it

Stealerships are ****** everywhere. Here is what happened to me. I was getting my wife an Impala SS 2007 2 weeks ago. They had 1 left on the lot it was Red and really dirty. It had rained alot that last week so it wasnt a big deal. They tried to start it and it was really dirty, again not a big deal. The inside was really dirty again not a big deal being detailed and thowing in a new battery it would be good as new. However they tried to hide the fact that they had 260 miles on the car already. I was in financing when I found that out.
So I was signing the agreements and getting ready to hand them over the check when the guys computer went down. To go kill some time I decided to join my wife to look at the car it was now "detailed" and clean. I walk out to see a very unhappy look on her face. She said "Look at all the scratchs and dents. I took about 30 seconds around the car and found 32 rock chips 1 was so bad that it cracked the primer and I saw bare metal. I was like I am not taking this car like this off the lot. You need to repaint it before I leave with it. The manager came out and told me that it would cost 8k for a repaint with this dmg... They offered to take 500 dollars off the car (LOL) then told me to commit fraud and make an insurace claim in a few months. They said since they owned the car IE paid for it from GM, GM wont cover the costs and it was on the dealership...
The Manager said those chips were normal wear and tear for Alaska roads... now I have lived in Alaska for 3 years. I have had 4 cars/trucks and I have had about 4 rock chips total in those 3 years , and they had at least 32 with in 250 miles... Some pick took that car rallying and ****ed it up. The chips were all around the wheels. Those tires stick out so some pick got on it on a dirt road or where the road still had gavel on it...
So long story short Dealerships dont really give 2 ****s about you all they want is the sale.

Stealerships are blood sucking vampires, they'll to anything to steal your money. There are some honorable dealerships out there that aren't as bad as others though.

That happened to a friend of mine and they took the car back and he was refunded 110%. Took a couple months of court and bull$hit but if you hold on and dont back out your result should be the same.
Cheers
PS. Thanks for the gauges!

I got my 06 RS as a brand new car from local Mitsubishi dealer on Feb.2006 and I am trying to sell the car a few weeks now. There is a buyer show me the Carfax report that he ran for my car and it show the car got a accident ! I never had a accident on the car after I got it from dealer, unless the accident happen before I got the car. it also show a police report #19654502539. what I want to know is When this accident happen, if the accident happen before I got the car and the sales man never told me the car had a accident before. Can I call a lawer and get some legal action against the dealer ?? please help, I don't know what to do !!

I buy all my cars from auto insurance auction for dealer only they have a lot of cars on auction that are total but do come sometimes with a clean title so all you have to do is fix the car right never tell anybody about that damage and sell the car as a non salvage history full the max price, my point is that half of these dealers do that kind **** you will never ever know so i just think its funny when people hear that the car was involved in a accident its a bad car but in real life they might be driving a car with salvage history and never know since the auction sold the car to the dealer with clean title it never goes in history. When you fix the car right you will never know the difference in the salvage cars or not. My evo came out to be total $16 after all done and fixed, 2005 with 7,000 miles and SSL package and i love it. My point is dealers get away with a lot of **** they will do anything just to sell you the car.

OH my bad guys No I didnt take the car but I did talk with GMAC and GM Division today about the ordeal they are NOT HAPPY. Whats even more crazy about the entire deal is that They dont even have on record me getting a loan for that car but a Monte Carlo SS. I checked and the Vin Numbers dont match up at all... So now they are going to investigate this matter themselves.
However now my wife is with out a car for a few days at least. We went to the Pontiac Dealer today and found that the GTP GRAND PRIX is the same damn car with a few more options SAME PRICE SAME INSURANCE QUOTE and they have a black and a red both look really sharp
