If by shifter feel there are a few things you could do.

-motor mounts
-short shifter
-shifter bushings
-base shifter bushings
-tranny fluid

what exactly is wrong with your shifting? to answer your question you could get a
forge front lower motor mount ($50) or underhood bushings ($30).

when you shift do you get any type of noticeable noise and is almost like a lockout?

It's probably the clutch causing it. Also, the Ingalls Stiffy is not something you get for shifting. It's mainly for looks, because to keep the engine from moving, you upgrade the front motor mount, because that's where the problem is.

I have updated my front motor mount, shifter base bushings, and shifter bushings with poly ones and you can tell a difference. I still have to shift gingerly when going into fifth though due to the synchro grind.

Warrtalon.. what do you reccomnd changing underhood bushings and shifter bushings with? will that cause premature wear and tear...

Warrtalon is right. I had the same problem until I installed my new twin plate clutch. Now I can shift at high RPM's. I love it.

I have Zacklees under hood shifter bushings and they definately took some notchiness out of the shift.

your car should be covered under warranty, call your dealer to find out. I have a 03 also and I had my tranny rebuilt 3 months ago for the notorious 5th gear grind.
After that, I bought the zacklee underhood bushing (I think that was $20?). that made it feel more solid. I then bought a cheap ebay $30 (17+13 for shipping) short throw, (plus the $20 retainer from mitsu). But for this, I had to use spacers (I used two 14mm hex nut under the base bushing but only on the passenger side. Because the cheap shifter is straight, doesn't have the joggle like the stock shifter and without using a spacer, the shift knob points towards teh passenger)
That made a big difference too. I have yet to buy the $50 front engine mount.

I have the same problem. My problems started when i had my ACT hd installed. I did the kartboy under hood bushing and also the base bushings. It feels a little better. But i would go with the motor mounts or the ingalls.

no. the hardest part is taking off the undertray and prying out the old mount. i bought a forge lower motor mount, its a 2 piece mount so installation was simple.
