weapon r intercooler piping

ok, i was wondering is anyone had this intercooler pipe kit. i want to use it for looks. i saw this picture on lancershop.com. it looks like they made it fit with the stock airbox and the stock size battery. i want to do the same. so i was wondering if anyone has this pipe kit with the stock box and battery. i have a carbon fiber intake box cover, cusco stainless manifold cover, clear cam cover, carbon fiber spark plug cover and now, i just want my pipes to bling! so if anyone, please respond. thanks!

not only for looks, the stock crap expands under pressure, it actually can hit your strut bar. So hard piping is a good investment.

Do a search. If I remember right, I could swear soemone had these pipes and said the pipe ends were not bead rolled. You might want to check that before buying it.

^Then this must be a new design or Weapon R has unofficial variations in their IC pipe kits. In any event, the one I installed was NOT bead rolled and was of "lesser" quality. In my experience most Weapon R products fall into this category...

It looks like it already has a nice silver dollar sized dent in the section right by the TB.

The problem with piping that retains the stock battery is that you are not really gaining much. Sure the stock hoses flex, and the stock section can blow off the throttle body; but this can be fixed with t-bolt clamps. The bends need to be the same as stock and the bends have to be tighter expecially when entering the throttle body when using an aftermarket IC pipe.

If you want the true gains you need a battery relocation or better yet a mini battery kit that will enable shorter routing of piping and less bends for a flow that is much better compared to stock.
