Drive it and go on the freeway in 4th and floor it from around 2500-3500 RPMs, make sure the speed of the car increases with the RPMs...

In other words, clutch, clutch, and more clutch.

Also, because I'm no longer trying to sell mine so I can say it... Check the rotors for wear and check the Calipers, make sure they're still bright red and not painted... If they're not, they've been used well...

i drove it already...and i noticed the clutch was STIFF. are all evos this way, or was this aftermarket? I looked the entire car over and it showed no signs of ever having any aftermarket parts on it.

yes, compared to the wrx clutch or most clutches for that matter, the evo clutch will feel stiff/short. the guy i just sold my evo to thought something was wrong with my car because the clutch felt stiff to him. it's not a bad thing.

So, just check that out very closely if you want to go with that car.
Doesnt the cluster start where it left off on the old car?

ya its pretty amazing that they are still going so high but i know that in my area (mass) its almost impossible to find an 03 for under 20k most are 22,23 as above mentioned. Ive been looking for months to find an evo thats in good condition for about 24k and i always come on the forums to hear i could get an 05 for that price so it always delays me from wanting to spend that much on an 03 lol hopefully prices in my area come down a little so i can get an 05
