My 350z and evo 9 both need warranty work done this wk. The Z got a whole new tranny and the evo need a new reverse idler gear and oil cooler. I was surprised that neither dealership gave me a hard time about the warranty work, especially the mitsu dealership. Not happy with the fact that the evo need work done with only 12k on it.

 

That's cool that they did it no problem, but it def would make me nervous to have work done so soon. Do you have any mods?

my reverse idler gear sounds like it's about to go to. It gets louder and louder everyday!!!!

 

+1 on the oil cooler/reverse idler as I have a definitive vibration noise coming from that area of the engine.

 

oil cooler had a leak and the idler gear was make major noise when i turned on the a/c. One mod...raliart sticker

 

Don't knock to hard for the work @ 12k. I am a tech at a toyota dealer and I see cars come in with 5k and need some major repairs. They make 100's of cars a day, not every one will be problem free. Just be happy it's fixed and didn't create anymore problems.
