Snow in Hood vent+ intercooler
I thought it was common knowledge to let a car come up to temp. before ripping on it....
Oh yeah.......The evo f-ing rocks in the snow!
Another thing to remember is when you start going faster than about 30 or 40 mph and the car starts shaking around like a jack hammer.
Get your ice scraper and scrape the Ice and snow out of the inside of your wheels.
My 03 stock wheels suck snow and ice in all the time like talons rear wheels in his first pic.
Part of my snow removal routine includes the wheels.

The only bad part about extreme weather conditions, >10 degrees F, the car doesn't really want to start if you're using 10W-30. 5W-30 can help a bit though. After you let it warm up it's great though!
So I guess I will need to change my 15w-50 out before winter?
never had an issue with 10w30 in the winter.....or maybe I just figured its so darn cold that i didnt expect it to start very well

I don't think Evoscan will tell you this unless the car (in stock form) does not allow you to boost fully or run high oct ign and fuel maps until the water temp is up to a certain temp. I've heard that you cannot boost fully until a certain water temp is achieved on the stock solenoid. I wouldn't know, as I wasn't stupid enough to ever try it. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Yes there is a temp setting.... min. temp for full boost control (ecuflash)
