since you put MBC , you are in charge of the Boost, and not the ECU anymore .
i still suggest you get a reflash for your current status ..
even stock evos need a reflash Because they come rich out of the factory.

i bought used 03 evo8 gsr, i only have mbc and am opening 1.2bar. and i feel the car is slow.. i was wondering how can i know if the ecu is for my evo or its original ecu has been replaced! as i recall that if someone opens 1.8 bar on stock ecu at high gears it should cut fuel and sometimes turns off but mine didnt!
ps. i was regulating the mbc knob when i hit 1.8bar.
this made me think probably the car is slow bec of its ecu!!
so any input guys???

anyhow, the odds of you having a different ecu then the one that came from the factory is pretty slim. You need to get a flash for the mods you have and get that thing back around the right ballpark.

dont get a dyno flash and get a fuel pump... go with TTP 
.... but, in either case, any one but dynoflash works for me
