I just installed a 4 puck unsprung, with Xtreme pressure plate. I was tired of getting locked out @ high rpms with ACT's street disc. I have about 50 miles on the new clutch and already adjusted how to drive. Its really not that bad for daily driven it and yes it can be slipped a bit. I was torn with getting a 6 or 4 but at the time I was so tired of slow shifting and the 4 puck offers the best shifting @ higer loads. So I dont think my anger help with that desicison, if I had to do it again I would have pick the 6 but its over now.

x2 on hearing about the springs come out of the puck disc, clutch is def a hard decision to make. but I still want to give the 6 puck sprung a try, since it was hear say. I have heard so much on "what" the springs can or can not do its stupid. Searching post back from 03-present. Same people said 2 different things from that time to now.

I have been searching for a few days and havnt really seen people killing there T-case or tranny from a solid puck

I have an act 6 puck sprung with hd clutch and prolite flywheel. No problems. Daily drive and in so cal traffic. The increased pedal pressure is not too noticeable. The only thing that i had to get used to was how much sooner the clutch engaged. With my stock clutch I had about 2 inches of play in the soft clutch. With the act I have 3/4 of and inch at most.

I had the 6 puck sprung. I also had the famous lock out at 7000 rpms. But did not have that problem at first until i had about 1000 mile on the clutch. As for as having tranny problems, My syncros went out twice but I dont think it was from the clutch. I had the clutch installed at 15000 miles and im at 36000 miles and now the clutch has nothing left to it. I just recently purchased the stage 2 exedy with the flywheel. I will let you know how that turns out when i get my tranny back from shep and install the clutch. Goodluck

I had a SPrung Six Puck in my TSI AWD. I love it although it was VERY LOUD under deceleration. It was easy enough to drive and no regrets and was rated at 700 Foot Pounds of torque.

Unspring sounds like an ON-OFF ordeal, for drag racing I think.
