How Many Run ACT 6 Puck?

What clap load?

Lockout issues?

Any problems on stock tranny after a few launches?

Miles driven with clutch?

Mods?

I launch the **** out of it and shift at 7500 with no lock out, Havn't run with my current setup though but by the time I run next I'll have an ETS 58trim.

Ps it's the sprung hub 6 puck. My buddy who's on here had the solid hub and hated it. either way I've had no problems and love the clutch.

I would reconsider daily driving with a puck based clutch.

Sure, they're great for race, but you don't have a 600whp race car, you have a dime-a-dozen daily driver. There's no need to ruin your tranny & t-case just to say you have a puck clutch

I'm not buying a puck style clutch just to say I have a puck clutch. I need a clutch that can handle launches. I want a clutch that I can take to the track and not worry about my clutch slipping. I would get a twin disk but I cant afford that right now. I also don't want to buy a clutch where I'm going to have to replace after a few months. The main reason why I want this clutch is because I will be upgrading turbo later and I don't want to swap clutches again.

So how is daily driving with it? - daily driving is fine. It's not to much different then stock beside peddle pressure and even then it's not too noticeable. You get used to it quick.

Whats the clamp load on yours? - I believe it's the HD pressure plate.

Do u feel the launches with this clutch is harsh on the stock tranny? Launches are more smooth and easy to slip. You are not worried about wearing down that organic based street disc either and it doen't smell like *** after a launch either If you slip it/dump it too fast it just blazes all 4. I think it may be a bit rougher on the trany/X-fer case

I forgot what you said above but if it's the stock evo and you want a new clutch just get a 6puck spung hub on the stock PP or get a low end exedy cerametalic IMO.

Good luck

-Go drive a 6puck sprung hub; I think you'd be surprised. You might even like it. A solid hub-4or6 puck is harsh and def wears down the driveline.

I have the ACT 6 puck sprung hub with the HD pressure plate. I drive my car everyday and I love it. Once u get used to it, it's not bad at all. I was hesitant when I first bought it and wasn't sure if I was going to like it and I was worried about lock out.
It took me a couple of days to get used to it but when I went to the track is where I was happy I made my choice. When I got the clutch installed, I also had the clutch line done and the restrictor removed. I haven't smelled clutch yet from launches. I have about 10 launches on it now and all is well. It's easy to slip it and No lock out either.

Goodluck with your choice.

I have the act 6 puck no springs and the pedal is much harder than stock. When I first installed it the car was hard to drive and would always die, but I got use to it. I drive my car daily has bout a good 12,000 mile on it. I could feel the stress it puts on the drivetrain every time I shift gears (when racing) warning this clutch grabs hard!!! Just dont race everyday.

<--- 6 Puck act unsprung Xtreme, with fidanza lightened flywheel!!! Called Act themselves and they said there is virtually no difference. Except the springs have been known to fall out. I drive mine everyday and wouldnt go to a street disc or a sprung puck. My friend has had 2 out of 3 of his act 6 pucks "lose" springs. I wouldnt want those just bouncing around in my tranny.
