Need Tune
Need Tune
Ok the point is theres no place to get a custom tune... 15 hr drive to ams same with buschur. So do I drive to Colorado 7hrs or Kansas City also 7hrs. Mail in flash FTW? Who here has mail in flashes ? Could you tell a significant increase or should I wait for more mods?
I dont have any local tuners in my area either. So I purchased a TTP-Engineering Mail in flash. It was definitly worth it and I didnt have to take my ECU out and have my car sit for a couple days like other mail in flashes, especially since my Evo is my DD.
I totally agree with you on this one, I used to think mail reflash is taking out the ecu and mail it to the tuner, but after I realized it I think it is better than paying $500 for a dyno tuning. I datalog, upload fuel maps, and my tuner he does 100 percent job, until the full potential is reached. you dont even need to be close to the tuner, I live in NJ and the guy tunes my car is in FL. and yes logging and uploading maps is fun.

if you want to do a mail in flash youll need a tactrix cable ($89), and a laptop with ECUFlash installed...
You just download your stock ECU rom to the laptop via ECUFlash and email it to TTP-Engineering. They will then modify it based on your mods, and email it back to you. You then just upload the new flash from your laptop to the car ECU and youre done.
I emailed mine on a friday night, and had my new flash emailed back to me monday.
I also agree, logging and uploading maps is fun as well lol
