what's the differences bt evo8 turbo and the mr turbo?
and how these differences affect turbo to make it a better one?

 

over here in the U.S., There is no difference between trims(MR,RS,GSR) (03,04 had a smaller hotside than the 05's which came with a 10.5 hotside). Evo 9's retained the 10.5 hotside but incorporated a larger coldside.

 

There is No Diffrence, but the JDM MR is a bit diffrent from the Standard VIII turbo .. but aint really worth the upgrade .. just get a 10.5 hotside for $200 and you'll have a better top end power and 5-10whp worth of gain

but if you ever consider to upgrade to a standard like turbo ! ,, than the 20G LT is good.

if you're gonna upgrade the turbo might as well get something better than a 9 turbo.

 

my friend has an evo8 mr and he is gonna upgrade his turbo and he told me y not taking his turbo!

We don't know. Our turbos are all the same. You're in Lebanon, and we're in the US, which means we get different Evos.

 

evo's should be the same mechanically! what differs i think the the ecu maping as a major effect on car! right?

There the same exact thing. Unless the lebonese evolutions arent the same as the USDM, in which case tis anyones guess. If your friend is selling it to you than hes trying to make a buck, if its free you both just don't know what your talking about.

 

you can get a 5-10 whp gain from the 10.5 hotside with better top end.
if it's a USDM Evo MR .. don't bother with it.
the USDM Evo MR have the same turbo as the 03 Evo VIII like yours but it comes with the 10.5 hotside and the 03 Evo comes with 9.8 hotside .
