Ditto. Nice Job, but there really needs to be a harness bar added. That setup is certainly not the safest. We anchor into the back seat bolt holes becsause we have to w/o a cage or harness bar. You have the option of adding one for a true racing harness. Use it. Nice spec miata. I was wondering if that dash bar is legal (spec miata). Most go through the dash not on top. Any problems with tech? You got me beat on the prce of your spec miata roll cage. Mine cost about $400, but I was able to buy prebent tubes which made is a lot easier. The whole car cost $2000 when all was said and done. Gotta loves Miatas! 200,000 miles on the stock engine and takes a lickin and keeps on tickin.

Thread back from the dead.....

UPDATE!- My buddy and I are installing a harness bar in the upcoming week. I will post pics after it is done.

Thanks for all the comments.

Material cost me around $150.00.

EvoTech- The dash bar is legal. If I could do it again I would take the dash out and run it under. That would clear up some space to see. Other than that is works like a charm.

No harness bar?

I dont know about it. I would want mine to be FIA legal. Just to be uber cautious that I could use it at any track without any tech inspection problems.
