tranny warranty?

OK guys, I'm fairly certain I'm not the first person to ask this question but here goes.

I have a 2003 VIII with 46,000 on it. during normal driving, the transmission will grind going into 2nd and 3rd; But if I rev it above around 5000 RPM, the grind in second goes away entirely and 3rd is better. New fluids did not help. what are my chances of getting mitsu to warranty this? Car is stock, just a flash. also, any dealers in the chicago area you could recomend?

once you drive the car out of the dealership, your warranty is void.

if you're stock or can go back to stock, go to the dealer. they should cover synchros.

I have an 03 and they rebuilt my whole tranny under warranty. (grinding 3rd and 5th). I only have 30k miles but I think I'm covered up to 50k?
I would take it in as soon as possible. If one dealer won't take it, take it to another dealer until you find one that will take it.

Definately sounds like synchros - I'd take it in ASAP while you're still in warranty.

If one dealer voids warranty they usually put it into their system so that other dealers will know. Not sure if Mitsubishi operates this way.

Def take it to the dealer tho, they better cover it under warranty since your stock.
