Arrow [HELP] Problem @ 3000rpms

I have a mitsubishi evo 8 with 6700 miles on it. mods include: tbe, downpipe, manifold, o2 housing, intake...i have drag raced it several times.

my problem is, when building boost at 3000rpms the rpms will jump to about 4000rpms and then come back down and then from there it will build boost properly.

my friend and I think it's the clutch slipping, result...i have to buy a new clutch.

what do you think???

Did you smell the clutch after that run? If so I would say for sure the clutch . The exedy twin is what you want.

Clutch is a gonner...

ACT HD Street disc user here.....get rid of the clutch pill, upgrade to a stainless line and you will be set...

You don't need more opinions - it's the clutch for sure.

Exedy Twin HD Cerametallic if you keep it, or a stocker if you're going to sell it.

$1000 or so assuming you are able to resurface the flywheel. Fluids are $110-120, labor is $400-600 (sometimes much more), resurfacing about $50, and the clutch for $300?
