heater cable broke?????

well this morning i went to turn on knob from cold to hot and something broke inside. WTF? has this happen to anyone? so now i have no heat.

since day one the knob was really hard to turn from cold to hot, and i guess it just let loose today.

anyone know what broke? is it a cable?

yeah that sucks... there is a bulletin on it but it has to be under warranty for them to fix it. if you look by your gas pedal there is a little plastic gear there that controls the ac or heat. i've been just reaching down there and turning the gear instead of turning the knob on the hvac controller. so unless you wanna spend money to get it fixed you can do that, i've been doing it for a couple years now

if you look next to the gas pedal you will see a white gear that has a cable attached to it, i guess since yours broke it might just be part of the cable. but it you push the gear one way it turns it all the way to heat and if you turn it the other way it will put it on ac. get a flash light and look under there you will see it.

let me know if you need more info

its right next to the plastic cover its not behind it. you should be able to see it without removing the plastic thats part of your center console
