^^^ well my car is not a "hardcore" race car, pretty much a street/drag race use. have you tried or sat in any of the other seats on my list? looks like so far i might just go with the fighter instead of the pro2000.

To everyone else voting PLEASE post what seat you would recommend if you choose "other" on the list. i would really appreciate that, thanks!

well i got everything under the hood/suspension/brakes/exterior etc all taken care of already, all i have left is the interior. i dont want to risk safety or total comfort (i know most buckets are not going to be totally comfortable, but want something good enough for daily use). i can get a killer deal on the bride's (less than the sparco or recaro), which is why i included them, but wanted to see how they compare to the sparco fighter and recaro pole position or spg.

If you are actually going to race the car and NEED the seats, go with the sparcos

I am slightly smaller than your build (5'11, 170 lbs, 32" waist) and really love the Sparco Pro 2K. The fit is very supportive but not overly tight in any one area. Extremely comfortable. It feels as if it cradles every part of your body equally, with no pressure points. I also liked it because the shoulder area was nice and wide.

I believe you can get a better deal on the sparcos than the recaros. I love Recaros as well but believe the sweet spot in bang for the buck lies with the Sparcos. Last I looked the prices were cheaper in the UK. Quick google search came up with this:

http://www.westwalesrallyspares.co.u...p?productid=33

Equates to $534 USD. I believe I've seen them as low as $500. Of course, don't know how much shipping would be.

Remember, safety wins over cost when picking a racing shell =). Think of seats as you would a 5 point harness or fireproof suit.

One last thing...it doesn't pay to overspend for fashion's sake because most likely you'll be picking a seat with a cloth cover. They eventually look pretty ratty after a couple of years of track use, esp if you have racing harnesses wearing holes in them.
