Are you gonna be up there for a while? If your just going up to hit the slopes (I cant wait for the snow BTW) then you can stick with 10w-30. If your gonna actually be up there for a few months than a 5w-30 might be better.

Your friend sure wants you to starve your car of oil. How do you drive your car? If it's normally, then the 60 is too much for your vehicle.

Use ENEOS 0w50
Ive heard Eneos oil is not that good. Im currently using Amsoil and have fallen in love. But next oil change I am going to try Royal Purple.

some people that used royal purple(not me) have complained about sudden lifter tick and things like that....any good brand FULLY synthetic should do the job.

WOW.. Thanks for all your recommendations. But then i think i will be trying out the Castrol Edge 10W 60 and see how it goes. Anyway its free since the dealer who imported the car for me is giving me free general servicing of everything y not btw a bottle of Castrol Edge 10W 60 cost around $90 Singapore dollars. in where i am staying. All the information that has been given is greatly appreciated.

The guy doesnt have a US spec evo .. and our oil cap doesn't have mobile 1 10w30.

I personally have been using Castrol 10w60 for the past 30,000 km.
