Gsc s1 cams or HKS 272? i cant make up my mind.
one day i want gsc s1, the next i want hks 272. i cant make up my mind. i hear gsc have amazing midrange power, but hks 272 i hear are amazing around 5k and they have that nasty ideal compared to gsc. but the hks 272 are $100 more.
i eventually want a FP Green turbo and a nice 400whp evo on 93 octane. what should i get i need some input

I personally have HKS 272 and I like them alot, I can also say that when you raise the rpms you can tell a difference when tuned properly. However, I cant compare these to any other cam because I have only dealt with HKS 272s but they get my thumbs up.

son, i dont have evidence but i damn sure know it make a huge difference, also i was the same way he was. i asked about both the same cams about a year ago and basically im gonna sum it up the way everyone else told me. "YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" numerous people on this forum are hks 272 users, if we can id say we get a poll going. i heard nothing but positive feedback on the HKS cams true they are a tad more expensive but hey you gotta pay to play. i for one am not cheap when it comes to putting quality parts onto my car.

Well, your statement of YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, is true.... but it is your opinion that Hks are better than GSC. Now don't get me wrong HKS are great cams, the have been proven time, and time again. As for decided on which is better though, there needs to be facts not opinion's.
Which cam is better only some one that has went from one to another, and had dyno numbers to back it up could answer this question.... but my opinion would be choose either one, and you will be happy..

maybe the reason you can feel a big difference once you hit 5k is because the curve sucks and all the power comes on at once. Im guessing though that your going to think what you want no matter what anyone says.. Arent you, son?
My personal opinion of the two, is that you should narrow down what you want to do with the car first. The s1's are going to have a bit better curve and offer more down low, and the hks's will have a bit more up top. IMHO for a car on 93oct the S1's are a better all around set of cams.. But then again if you go off what the guy above me says, you would be best off to just find the most expensive set of cams cause they are the best when you pay more for them.
