labor for the install is usually $2k. . .parts are around $1k for freshining things up (new pistons, rings, rods, bolts, etc.). . .

I know for me, when I hit around 100-150k, I'll freshen up the block. . .and keep on going!! I plan on being one of those "weirdos" that drives the Evo V into the meet full of Evo VIII/IX. . .only it'll be an VIII rolling up to a meet full of XII's or XIII's!!

honestly, do what you want. if you go with what somebody says here, you might regret it in the end, because nobody truly knows where your head, heart, and budget look/feel like.

Interesting thread.

I have ~76K miles. Just had a new clutch and flywheel installed, along with a TME turbo. Car will be paid off in about 2 weeks. I had a 6 year note, but accelerated the payments. I like to call the bank and have the automated voice tell me my next payment is due in 2008, lol. I'm working out a nagging cam position sensor issue, but otherwise the car is great.

335Xi is exactly what I was considering for a lightly modded daily driver, but it's going to be spendy. So $800/month is a lease payment? I would be looking to purchase but have a payment under 1K, not sure if that could be done with a 335Xi without putting a lot down. I hadn't looked yet, but heard they were selling in the 50s, is that correct?

Anyway, I am going to replace my wife's 04 CRV in the Spring, probably with a new MDX. We'll have 1 car payment and I'll just mainting my Evo for another year or two. My plan has always been to go to a stroker at some poing after 100K miles and make a killer street car.

Good luck!

I can't imagine getting rid of my car now (just under 10k), let alone at 90k. Way too much history there. I would hold onto it until my dying day.
