how many times do you think you mised a gear in your evo

 

none yet but I only have 700 miles.

Only when I am racing someone else... and once in an autocross.

Have to admit to operator error, too much adrenaline, too little intelligence, try to muscle it in like an old Mustang T5... if it grinds, push harder... not too bright for the Evo tranny.

Agreed, me too. Always 2nd. And only when pushing the car.

 

Funny, I don't have a problem with 2nd, I have a problem with 4th... not all that often, probably me letting out the clutch too fast and not matching RPMs...

 

i used to have trouble with fourth but i always caught it before it grinded. it that bad even if it doesnt grind?

 

Second Gear also and only when pushing it... A pattern... Hmmm

I guess we need to learn to shift this beast little better.

 

I missed once or twice from 2nd going to 3rd.

 

It doesn't happen every time, just intermitantly, but it's always when I'm pushing the car hard. There was another thread somewhere addressing this issue, but for the time being I don't think it's that big of a problem. If it gets worse, than I'll take it back to the dealership.

 

Dont feel bad buddy, we all miss a shift from time to time, even the most seasoned driver can make a mistake from time to time.

Yup, always second gear. I've grinded second probably a half dozen times with a mere 1k miles. No other gear shift problems.

But I must say, I completely agree with the adage that "power is addictive" and you seemingly can't get enough. The Evo bumped my horsepower by more than 100 over my last ride. Initially I was blown away. But with just 1k miles in the car, I thirst for more WHP!
