A heartwarming story of Evo Brotherhood.
A few weeks ago one of our EvoNY members was diagnosed with cancer. Then we found out that he has to pay cash for an operation that he is having next month. Within a week we put together a charity meet at Toplevel performance on Long Island. Hundreds of guys came out to show their support for Steve. It was really hearwarming to see such brotherhood. We raised over $2,000 raffling off parts donated by vendors and members. Please support the vendors who supported one of our own in a time of need. Thanks to everyone who came and made this event a huge success. A special thanks to the vendors:
Anyone wishing to make a direct donation to Steve, his paypal is steven321o@yahoo.com . God Bless!

Thanks Ed so much for setting all of this up and allowing us vendors to give back to one of our great members...SteveO is a great guy and my prayers go out to him and his family...
It's great to hear stories like this. Cancer is no joke, I had a friend from back home who lost both of her parents to cancer within six months of each other, plus another one of my childhood friends lost her mother to breast cancer around the same time. I applaud everyone here who supports these causes in any way they can, whether in prayer or through PayPal.

You guys continue to amaze me.
The extra money coming in from the paypal donations is going to be really helpful. The intent of this post was to thank everyone, not ask for more donations, but since you asked I posted his paypal and the donatins keep coming which is great. Thank you all so much. Steve is the kind of guy who helps out felllow members all the time, by lending his skills and expertise for installs for just about anyone and has never taken a dime for it. There is not a more deserving guy out there. I have included his story below for those of you interested. Thanks again.
2yrs ago i pulled my hamstring, within a week i had a lump on my right inner thigh.
Not thinking of anything i never went to the doctor thinking i pulled my hamstring bad.
Tuesday the 11th of Sept. i had some pain on my leg that i could not walk normal, thats when
i decided to go see a doctor. (Stupid me why i waited so long, i don't know) To make a long store
short because its hard for me to talk about it right know. I have cancer.
I am seeing this doctor that does not take insurance starting within a month. He is the best and
my life is priceless. He is going to save my leg but i hope it didnot travel to my lungs. Today i will be
going for more test to make sure it did not travel anywhere else in my body. Wish me good luck.
The evo might be parted out and sold if the bills come out to an amazing amount. That is my
last resort.

Thanks for the kind words and support from you guys. I am just trying to mentally to hang in there.
What a shocker.
I just turn 31yrs old this August thinking that i am healthy.
As a baby being sick at birth i fought to survive, 14 yrs old i had brain surgury i survived again.
After the brain surgury the doctors said i will never speak read or write, not even walk again.
Being a vegatable i could not live like that, so i fought and i won again.
Sept 11 2007 i was dignose with cancer and now i will fight once again.
I have a 10yrs old girl and wife that loves me so much. I have more to fight for now.
Steve O
Wish everyone good health.
