Ariel Atom vs Evo
its greatly improve the feeling about speed and turns when you drive an open car. Specially if its low very low seat position. Period.
Now the Atom nothing short of this. So if you do a same exactly a same lap time/+ - 0.5 sec/ with those cars ,the Atom going to give you a much faster feeling.
Just make sure you know it
I think the atom suppose to be much faster, even destroy, any closed, 4 door production car. Based on the tech numbers. But its fail to do so. It is a good toy, but nothing more. Don't mistify it. I know its faster then evo's ,but its not a big deal anyway.
i like away its looks. i'm sure its a chick magnet!

the guy driving bogged the shiznit out of that launch in the EVO, and those huge smokey burning awd drift turns did nothing but slow the damn car down. if he had just turned the car, the EVO would have won.
I laughed at the end of the Atom run.
When I test drove an EVO before I bought my '03 in '03, I slammed on the brakes so hard the salesmans glasses slid off his nose. Just like in the vid.
It was the funniest thing I had ever seen, I just wanted to know what class leading brakes felt like. The salesman was quiet, and maybe not that happy.
Back to the cars, I love them both, I don't think they are out of place comparing the two. The EVO has kind of established itself as the car to beat, so it shouldn't supprise anyone that occasionally something does come along and beat it.
I agree the driving was more for show, than a real competition, but in general I dont think there would be many contests the atom would lose to the EVO, when properly driven.
But the Atom does give up alot to do so, I would love to have one as a second car, but it could never be a daily driver.
Dr Sound---
the brake upgrade pic, is that caliper on the left, the parking brake? I can't imagine an upgrade would be to hang a second non matching caliper on it and call it done, that would dissapoint me.
