Just dropped my 04 Evo for A/C problem. Last month it was in the shop for 10 days. Invoice is listing A/C clutch, compressor and expention valve. I got a call today that they are replacing A/C cluch again?

 

Just remove the A/C like me, its much better this way

 

AC compressors are fragile things... if they are installed incorrectly, they fail very quickly. If you hit them with the charge liquid too quickly they fail, if you don't lube them properly they fail, if you don't vacuum the lines they fail, if you don't get all the moisture out of the lines they fail...

It's not uncommon with a bad tech installing an AC compressor for them to fail either immediately, or soon after installation.
