NGK Iridium Spark Plugs..

Hey guys. I was wondering if any of u know how much gapping the NGK Iridium Spark Plugs require? Mines never come pre-gapped so I gotta take the initiative to gap it myself. Any of u using the NGK Iridium Spark Plugs or know how much to gap? I tried looking in the car manual n the ngk iridium spark plug manual but it doesnt say. If any1 knows how much it needs to be gapped lmk plz. Thanks I appreciate it.

I don't know the factory spec but I'd start with 30 and go from there.

I gap mine at 24. Be carefull of the electrode tip. They are very easy to bend and break.

According to Evo IX service manual:
Standard value: 0.5 − 0.6 mm (0.020 − 0.024 inch)

depends which NGK plugs you are talking about...

if you want the stock like units (i dont remember the code) they are gapped at 0.021 which is within factory specs and work perfectly!

if you want the 1-step colder NGK racing series plugs (dont remember the code either) they are gapped 0.024 which again are within factory specs and work perfectly also...

i wouldn't regap them since they are very easy to damage and the racing plugs are MEGA expensive...
