IPOD Adaptor/Transmitter/FM receiver Static Issues

Ok so I have an ipod FM receiver and for those of you who have this knows that you have to match up the station on the receiver with your radio system corret? well looks kinda looks something like this:

The issue is, I keep getting a static sound, like a woosshhh sound, which sounds like something like other radio stations are interfering with it. I try all stations but there always seems to be some kind of interference. Does anyone know what could fix this issue? I was considering getting the IPod CAble, but not quite sure how that works.. ANy help is appreciated....

The issue with using fm transmitters in our cars is that the antenna is in the back of the car and those transmitters produce an very weak signal, that being the case the signal is almost completely dissipated by the time the antenna can pick it up. Try setting the transmitter in the back by the antenna and see if the quality gets any better. If that doesn't work just buy the ipod cable from mitsubishi and your set (direct plug-in).

x2, those fm transmitters are terrible! Get yourself a direct ipod hookup, its the only way to go. If you are gonna go with a radio too, pick up an alpine, smoothest ipod control you will find.

Direct plug-ins are the way to go, my stereo came with one and it cost me $2 for the adaptor to plug in the ipod
