are you saying that our turbos don't need to cool off when we're done driving?
If so; Where do you get this pearl of wisdom?
all turbos need to cool off. the few ounces of oil and water start to boil when stagnate in the POUNDS of cast iron which is the bearing housing.
no car NEEDS a turbo timer. but all cars with turbos need to cool for a while at idle before shutting them off. Neglecting this process is just asking for premature bearing failure.

dude that turbo timer, looks sorta like a HKS knock off. anyways yes he's right we dont need one, but it damn sure comes in handy when you need to rush into your job or you just dont feel like waiting in the parking lot with the 95 degree plus weather .
It's true on an SRT4, or any other engine oriented in such a way with a turbo(Evo X comes to mind) - a turbo timer is required. But if you have the turbo oriented in front of the car, I don't believe there is a dire need for one. Especially when your talking about a 16G.

Just because you are out of boost doesn't mean that you're not adding significant heat to the turbocharger.
Don't know about the rest of you, but each of those 1-3 minutes of my life add up.
20 drives, and the cost of a turbo timer has gone past my hourly rate.
