help with 02 sensor

I just reccently installed full race greddy titanium exhaust with dc downpipe/cat delete. Wow what great results. My problem is the downpipe i believe they put the 02 bung on the wrong side because my 02 sensor wont reach. I was thinking about lenghtening the o2 sensor wire to be able to reach. I already did the mod for the 02 sensor to raise it out a little from the downpipe. I also put the carbign bumper shield on. Do you think it is a good idea to lenghten the o2 wires?

You'll be fine in lengthening the o2 wires so llong as you know what your doing. Make sure you use solder and some heat shrink when your done.

This may seem a bit stupid but can't you just flip it over?

Did you release the O2 wire from all of the clips that hold it in place? I assume that you are referring to the second O2 ... I had to completely un-clip mine and stretch it a bit to reach the bung on my Megan TP, but it made it w/o modification. I then drilled some holes in the heat shield and secured the wire with zip ties.

now i know there is a second o2 wire 'drop' on the chassis behind the shifter (to the left of glovebox) i wonder if maybe going through there will give you the slack you need without cutting the oem wire

do w/e you can to not cut the o2 wires because you could possibly run into problems later on down the road. o2 wires are actually pretty senstive when it comes down to butt connectors or soldering because they require a certain voltage, resistance, and they are sometimes shielded. be careful.
