Roll cage

Can anybody tell me how you count points on a roll cage?
Points touching floor or what?

How many is this and how fast can you pass on it?

That's the autopower six point cage.

I don't understand the question, "how fast can you pass on it?" What does this mean?

That is a 6 point. Not positive on rulings where you are at but I think this passes for sub 10 seconds

what I ment was how fast quartermile passes.

This also has 6 points but has alot less strength.

And this is 8 points and still it doesnīt even make a full cage

I doubt a bolt in cage will be allowed for 9 second passes. Most track techs wanna see welded cages. They will look them over as well if it doesnt have an inspection tag.

the rules here are really not that strict...

But it would be better to have it all legit in case we would go to uk for an event.

Does anyone make cages that only need welding?

I believe Autopower makes cages that you can weld in, but I have not seen them in a while. I'm not too familiar with Iceland, but I'm sure there is some kind of fabricator somewhere, just give him the designs and find the rule book for whatever sanctioning body you want to race with, and have them make it to AT LEAST those specifications.

autopower makes a nice bolt in 6pt but you def would not be able to make 9 sec passes unless you weld it in too...the cusco is just for looks and serves no purpose. are you keeping interior or gutting car out?

Yes, but then it's additional labor to weld the holes closed, etc. The weld in should be cheaper from autopower as well... less machine work, and welding on their end.
