Whenever I drive it - usually two or three times a week - it sees 6800 RPM in first and second gear a few times. I never put the tach needle in the red zone, though. The only time that happened was when Al tuned it for me. I have never launched or raced the car, but I do find myself accelerating at WOT quite a lot. I'm still on the stock clutch at 65K miles and it's still perfect. When I mentioned this fact to Wartallon a few months ago in a PM, he told me that I don't really "use the car" if my clutch has lasted that long. But I disagree. I have a blast every time I drive it. I don't consider a ruined clutch at 7500 miles a badge of honor.

No place to do it I'm planning on Ice racing once it gets colder here in Wisconsin. I met a guy that drives an S4 and he's with the SCCA. He kindda invited me to go check it out so might as well try....

i drive my evo hard sometimes but don't beat it....
to me beating it would be bouncing rev limiter, grinding gears, jumping it, etc.
when i think "beating" i think about what i used to do to my lot cars

Well the evo is pretty much made for this. If you paid that much for one, you might as well have as much fun as you can! Life is short... Live it up!!!

I have never drive my evo to it's limited so I cant say I beat on my evo but I would say I have max my driving capability.

Beating on a car in my defination means you are trying to break something in your car so I have never done a stupid thing like that.
