Trying to find out if my ecu has been flashed scince i am not the first owner.
what is the stock 2 step rev limiter set at on a stock 05 evo?
my first step is at like 5900 or 6k my second is at 7900 or about 8k!
sound a little high for stock, no???

It was either 5,000 or 5,500.

 

pre-flash(stock) I was at 5k exactly.....

 

5000 and 7606 are the stock limits respectively. Who knows what they have done, but someone was in there.

 

thats a good questions i needa check mine, i purchased used as well and i think the ecu has been messed with

 

well mines definitly higher than 5000 and 7606!
well i guess its been changed.
i wonder what else has been monkeyed with...

 

i'm maxing out right before 8k and then a big puff of black smoke 7606 on IX right? and 5000 on VIII's?

 

Mine was was thankingfully stock when I bought it. And it was an '03 that I purchased 4 months ago, weird.

Now you know that your car has been modded to hell and back, ragged out and raced and then stripped back down to stock and traded in. More than likley you are only boosting about 12-14 psi too because he took off his boost controller and re-rigged the stock boost control lines and you are only running off wastegate pressure. Sorry but its probably the truth.

boost guage says i run 20 psi so if it had a controller it must have been removed and returned to stock at least halfway decent. and it came with full exhaust and arc box. why would you remove half the mods and not those? theyre easiest to take off anyways!
