Would you want an Evo 8 with SportTronic?
too many haters in this thread!
i don't know how to drive a manual, so an auto evo would be my only hope. it's not that i don't want to learn and haven't tried to learn because i have and do put forth the time and effort, but all my friends that have 5 spd cars always promise to teach me and never do. My best friend has a 5 spd 240sx and after i chirped the tires he told me to get out and won't let me try again. Just because an auto evo doesn't appeal to you don't think that there aren't people out there who this may be there only option.

An auto trans in the Evo? huhu...NO!
Well, not unless Mitsubshi thinks they have an untapped market with the handicapped and lazy crowd....and it sounds like Defeated26 is the second of my choices. :P
D00d! If you want to learn manual...go buy a manual car. Then tell the salesguy you aren't good at driving 5-spds yet, and he'll give you pointers.
SC~

Tell em Chimpie! It ain't like it's rocket science.
i'm gonna have to go with NO i don't want anything BUT a manual in my sports car...unless i got like 400hp and the such...and even then...i dunno...i really like the excitement of shifting and interacting with the car in general...call me weird...i love my evolution just how it is...i DO however, have an eclipse gt with sportronic as well...and its quite fun, but more of a daily driver...i got the evolution for totally different reasons...
Dude whats with the lazzy comment, personaly,I think automatc is an awsome Idea, especially when your driving and talking on the cell phone or in stop and go trafic like Chicago.Auto does not make one lazzy, and sequential shift,it the best of both world. love 5 speed hate the 6 speed, just another gear you really don't need unless you have 500Hp even then its not needed,i't just a groopie thing so chill and let people have there opinion WITH OUT being rude.
what kind of ferraris are we talking bout?......360?....its like the crappest **** amoung their lineup.....do you see f**king enzo come with auto?....oh yea...and all those track car should come with auto too right....they are high dollars....high performance car.....i am just saying auto and performance car dont go together.....so dont even bring up ferraris and lambos....
Let me tell ya. I have a 2001 eclipse w/the auto/sportronic shifter and it sucks. I don't even use the damn thing. The computer shifts better in it anyway. If I ever get an Evo I would definitly not want a sportshifter. Especially one from Mitsu.

If its all about the cell phone, go with the manual. I raced a 5.0L Mustang, talked to my friend in the wrx behind me ON the cell, shifted well, and still won, all at the same time.
No. If you want an Evo, you want it to feel like you're driving. Auto takes that away. If you really want to learn stick, you'll find a way to learn it. It's about controlling a car and feeling the driving experience - you just don't get that with any kind of auto.
