Front Bumper Blues

Hi all

So, I was driving in this empty parking lot just now
and it was dark so I didnt notice this huge cavity in the ground leading to a drain tunnel, and I drove right over it around 10-15mph
I hear this huge BUMP
and I stop and take a look and the whole bottom right portion of my front bumper is completely mangled, and it actually leads all the way down the front end of my car to about 2-3ft down probably near where the engine is above.
Any feedback?? I was looking around and it all seems to be relatively plastic-y parts under there... I'm panicking

BTW drifting the evo in the rain is pretty fun

You might be able to file a claim with your insurance company, but you'll most likely end up paying at least your deductible. That should fix it.

where the engine is above? plasticy parts?feedback on what?

you were stupid and hit a dip in the road and you F'd up the underpaneling. i would say take it off piece by piece, ( unscrew the phillips head clips all the way then carefully pull it out.) see if anything is damaged underneath. i;m sure you could get insurance to cover it, but what a bonehead, expensive move.

I'll jack up the car and get some pics up tomorrow, I gotta cram for this exam I have today. It finally stopped raining so I took a look at it, it looks like everything's fine- just all the plastic underpanel is torn up- oil's ok, intercooler piping and everything looks fine too, but yea I'll have pics up by tomorrow

I went to the dealer today, and as it turns out I miraculously only managed to break the "splash shields" which are 99 dollars, and that they didn't even tell me I had to replace. Thanks for all your input
