So can someone help me here?

I'll sum it up. Bought an evo at like 3 pm. driving it home i noticed my Fuel light, coolant temp and "Lancer" thing didn't illiuminate but the gauges them selves work. Also, the Tach and speedo work and illuminate, i'm thinking its a bulb....

It sounds like a bulb...the gauge cluster uses a fiber optic-type way to deliver light to different areas of the gauge cluster. One bulb may light that entire area...or more than one bulb may be out.

I only had my Evo for 10k miles before a gauge cluster light burned out...same on my Avenger, which had a mitsu cluster (amongst a lot of other mitsu parts).

So I take it that you decided to score the sweet deal on the "salvage" evo?

Oh and by the way that will more than likley be the first of many problems you will find with that EVO you bought since it has a salvage title. Good Luck!

Hahaha, cut the guy a break...jeez. No need to scare him!

It could be in better condition than most of the used Evo's that haven't been in an accident...at least from some of the stories I've heard...

You've gotta pop the cluster out...

I don't remember exactly the steps but you unscrew the shroud around the cluster and pop it out. You *may* have to remove the little trim piece where the foglight button is...
