Aaaahhh Help!!!

Im changing my intake to an open filter k&n. what do i do when those syupid bolts that hold the MAF in place break the plastic around it? the bolt is in a free spin

Dont take off your stock airbox unless you are heavily modified!!! Its not worth it, do some searching on the forums.

i searched around and a lot of people say its ok to put on an open filter just dont put on a full intake untile youre modded a bit more and have a tune

umm use 10mm to hold one end and grab another 10mm to loosen up.
if you do not have 2 - 10mm or thers no room, grab some pliers to hold one end where u messed up the plastic, and 10mm on the nut.

i assume you mean a 10 mm wrench and not a 10mm socket cuz the other end is oval shaped.

k well the other side is a 12mm so i went a bought a 12mm wrench and i still cant get it. why cant this be more simple?

Get a pipe wrench like this one.



Grab it and or get a buddy to hold it and loosen that bolt.

does anyone know if what i can use to clean out the MAF? can i use wd40? or just leave it alone?

DO NOT use WD-40....in fact, it is not recommended to clean these things either.

Victory Is Mine!!!!!!!!!! after 2 sparks, buying a couple extra tools and an hour with a couple bloody knuckles the install is complete. lol. the best 50 bucks i ever spent
