well since you live in socal just like i do, the resale value of your car is going to suck my friend. ever since southcoast mitsubishi started dropping there pants on the evos prices....our resale also went out the window. your best bet would be selling it on auto trader or whatever, to get the absolute best for your car. if you trade it in prepare to get 25k if not a little better. dealer go by wholesale value (what they buy it at the auction). good luck
I say start around $25k-$26K the only reason I think you should start a little low is because when I was searching to buy a IX, socal had the most NEW evos for sale. They were selling NEW IX gsr's for like $29k. I know 3 people that bought evos from socal dealerships. I live in nj.
Socal has so many evos for sale it might be hard trying to sell your car, but good luck!

Try to advertise nation wide.
Dealerships in many states (Oklahoma included) have 0 Evos left. I picked up my 2006 IX SE with 700 miles on it for $29,000 six months ago. Dallas was one of the few places close to me that still had Evo's on the lot when I was looking.
I say place the ad for $29,000 but put in "or best offer". You can always decrease the asking price after a couple of weeks.
Good Luck!
