i want to but im afraid id fu$$ it up some how and have to buy new tail lights. paint scares me.

 

yeah, i know what you mean. I sent mine to Evodave and they look GREAT!! Took some time to get them back, but I went on vacation for 10 days and they arrived a few days after I got back.

Good luck with your choice. But IMO, new tails would make it look better than paints stock enkies.

am I the only one that feels this way? When a wheel has a flat face and it has color.. doesn't it look like something just isn't right??? I do like the evo wheels painted black or gun metal.. but a wheel so flat? it makes it look WAYYYYY differnt from the stock silver..

The sti's gold looks like it belongs.. but the evo wheels? I think they might be just a tadddd too plain.

wheels that are rough around the edges look great with color but I'm just not sure... the sti's concave a bit so maybe thats why it looks right..

 

the tails are really easy to do, ive done 2 sets.. here are mine i painted myself

 

^ yes easy if you use heat gun.. Btw, paint those sucker man.. I gave wife my enkei wheels for her white mazda3 and am also painting them black.

Not a white Evo, but an idea of how you can paint your wheels (it would still look hot if mine was white)...

Looks great. I'm guessing the process isn't the same as the headlights (or more people would do this themselves). You gotta link to the how-to on here or can you PM me how you did it (including the paint you used for the amber)? Much appreciated.
