i think thats how manual cars start the car when the ignition doesnt fire up the car..you roll the car in gear and you let go and it starts up...its kinda like the kick start on lower CC motor cycles. and the higher CC motorcycles do the samething.. they roll the car in gear and let go of the clutch and engine starts.. its usually when the battery is out... .. i could be wrong though...

Clutch might need to be adjusted.

How do you think your car rolls in gear while you are driving it??? Of course it can roll in gear with a steep enough hill or enough force, it has nothing to do with your clutch.

^ +1, leaving a car in gear is just an added measure of resistance to the parking brake.

Nothing to do with the clutch, and yes use the e-brake...thats exactly what it was designed for.

#1 Always use your E-Brake

#2 Did you happen to have the clutch depressed?

This is totally normal, use your hand brake thats what it is there for.

Umm....I've NEVER had a manual car that rolled in reverse while in gear with the car off.

The evo has lower compression than other cars that you've driven. With lower compression engines it's easier to crank the engine over. Thus by leaving it in gear, the weight of the car was turning the engine over. This is why they suggest when you park your car on a hill that you turn the wheel into the curb when you park, also that you set your parking brake.
