Some douchebag broke into my Evo!
Someone broke into my Evo to steal my V1 radar. Now I have to drop off the car tomorrow so they can fix the window and scratches.

I don't know how long it will take to fix, probably a couple of days. Im even more mad because the SAME SH*T happened to my M3 3-4 months ago!!
I lose faith in humanity every day...

They broke in just for the radar detector? that's terrible. If this is the second car in 4 months you might want to think about getting a good alarm or parking somewhere else. Sorry about your loss, some people are pathetic.
This stuff never happens in Glenview. Both times, it was when my brother took my cars downtown. He says it happened at the parking garage in his condo building(which is in a decent part of town), but I dont know if I believe him.
Is that duct tape you're using to hold the plastic on? If so, you might need some new paint, too. Then again, you said they needed to fix the scratches, so I guess it doesn't matter.
Sucks to hear about your car, though.

Exactly how bad is it to have the duct tape on? My brother put it on a few hours ago, but I just took it all off because of your post.
Put it this way...When cars are painted by body shops and they are dried, one way they test to see if the paint bonded with the body panels correctly is by using tape. They use masking tape, not duct tape. Duct tape is a little too strong and will actually pull paint off, regardless of how well it bonded. I see lots of old mini vans and junker cars that you can tell they had windows broken out previously because of the "duct-tape damage" that you can see left behind on the body panels.
This happened to my car as well. The thief punched my passenger side glass, at the same time cut the main artery on his wrist, stole a blitz turbo timer by cutting the harness off with scissors, made it down the street before going into shock. I had to get new rear seats, a passenger seat, and the carpet steamed because he spilled his blood everywhere. There are still blood stains in the rear where he removed the rear seat trying to strip the car before realizing he was dying. Pretty creppy, but pretty sweet at the same time.
