I have seen several dealers selling used 06 MRs with around 10-15k miles for $27-28k in the midwest.

Sorry for the bad news but realistically I would shoot for $24-25k private sale. You will be hardpressed to get $26-27 privately let alone as trade-in. It doesn't help either that it is the slow time of year to sell sports cars and that the X is out in a matter of months.

i sold my 05 evo 8 in april and i got 24,000 for it. At first they wanted to give me 19k for it and i said give my keys and i was gonna walk out, after they talked and i told them what i wanted they decided to give me 24k for mine and thats for an evo 8, granted i was buying a car that was 29k+. Make sure you know exactly what your cars worth and the min your willing to take, usually if i can get close to what i want i fine with that.

My friend traded his Evo IX in at the Toyota dealership i worked at and got 28k for it a few months ago. It had 10k on the clock... Try a few different dealerships and see if they will buy it... If not sell it yourself.

It's worth more that 20k. I know that much. Dealerships are SNAKES when it comes to trade ins. I'm glad you stood your ground. Alot of people give in to them, and by the way, you SHOULD HAVE punched him in the face. LoL

Like you said I know its worth more than 20k.........I asked him if after two years my car had depreciated 14k?? He didn't have an answer. One of the other salesmen who had helped my a little bit earlier even said it was worth more than that. He has an STi. The salesman gave him an evil eye.......that's when I wanted to punch him right in his **** licker.

sell private party or just suck it up and take the hit...what are you trying to trade in the evo for? you may be hard pressed to even get 24-26 K for it b/c i've seen some used 06's go for that much...patience is a virtue and there's a sucker born every minute
