i know this sounds stupid, but how do u brake boost?

 

start car
Drive down to the freeway
put left foot on brake
slam gas
wait for spool
let off brake

vroom vroom

 

you mean, vroom pshh vrooom pshh

 

left foot on gently on the brake, while right foot applying partial throttle - to the point where you're not accelerating at all - the goal is to allow for partial spool-up of your turbo (to decrease lag)

(i.e. roll-on race from 40mph: get to 40mph, then apply both brake and gas pedals simultaneously until partial spool occurs on boost gauge - release brake and mash gas on third honk )
