hey what's up? just wondering if anyone knows if my evoix with turbo back cat delete exhaust and aem intake could overboost? It happens in third and fourth gear at about 6000 rpm wot ONLY WHEN ITS COLD OUTSIDE...BELOW 40 degrees. it acts like it hits fuel cut. a loud backfire with flames. and if i stay on it, it will continue to accelerate. any edjucated guesses?.........oh yeah and any place in eastern pa that will tune or flash my evo, cuz ill be putting 272 cams in next week

depending on your mods... you may be overboosting slightly, the temperature is not helping....

It's fuel cut - it happens when you have an exhaust with no boost control. There is no reason to have an exhaust and intake without an mbc or tune. That's $1000 for a lot of noise and fuel cut instead of $300 for 50whp and no noise or fuel cut. Things to ponder...

 

but the noise is half the fun!

 

at least thats what some folks think, especially the younger peeps.......LOL

 

hey thanks i contacted cbrd and after i install my cams in two weeks, ill be on my way to get it tuned! hopefully everything will be good then. The car is impressive. i never really ran 1/4 mile before so i figured i would try it and i ran 13.1 @106 completly stock. so hopefully a tune will put me in twelves
