I Think I Damaged My Gear !!!

Hello Guys.

I Drive ( Evo IX GSR (6MT))

Yesterday, i was with my friend, we was cruising around.
then i saw a C300 SRT8.
And we Had Race From 0, But Always **** Happen. When I shifted to second gear (@ 6000 RPM) I release the Clutch Really Fast Iheard terrible sound from behind ( like cracking) I think its comming from the gear and I know it is bad.

The Qustion is HOW BAD THATS SOUND Can Cause damage?? DID I SCREWED MY GEAR OR WHAT??

And The Good News Is I KICKED THE SRT8 A$$ REALLY BAD

Sorry For My Really Bad English, I am Not Native Speaker And Not Good Student In E Classes

You probably just grinded the gear. Drive and shift through all the gears, especially second, and tell us how it feels.

Hey.

What you propably heard was your rear diff locking up. My 06 Mr. does this loud snap, click sound when lets say you floor it second 3 gear.

Its normal. Try to do it again. If you gear it making noise in the back than its the rear diff.
