yeah, i park at college and at my appartment....my evo never gets touched. At my appartment, i live next to a nice young couple, and i tend to park near/between their cars. at school i try to park as close to the building as possible, or in a shaded or parking spot next to a curb. If anything, i'll just park in a handicapped spot, cuz our college doesnt really care about that they have yet to write me a ticket for it. There's quite a few STi's, and about 4 or 5 evo's (including mine). i dont think the other ones are even on EvoM, though, whenever i see them, i'll tell them about it (i have the EvoM decal on my back windshield). but, I've seen 2 lambos, one murcielago and one gallardo, um....an aston martin, forgot which one...um, i can't remember all the other "expensive/fast/cool" cars but, everyone here is pretty cool. I've had a few people come up to me and comment on the car and ask questions. Whenever i'm outside on break or between classes, i'll watch people walk by my car, and they usually will stand back and just look at it, and if they walk between the cars to get to another row and they decide to walk by my car, instead of just walking through and avoiding my car and the one next to me, they tend to not let anything touch my car (clothes, bags, anything)...i've seen people let their bags and clothes hit/rub against other cars, just to avoid touching my car. I saw this one guy hit the car next to mine's side mirror just to avoid mine....so people down here have respect for the nicer cars in the parking lot.

on a side note, i'll be moving into a new complex that has a garage so i'll be parking in there once i move in january.

When I had my EVO back in highschool, I used to park by my friends so I would make sure that I didn't get any door dings. Like everyone else said, DON'T talk sh*t to other people if you want your car to stay nice. People get jealous and can be very immature. At my high school, people respected the nice cars. Now that I'm in college, I usually get to school early, and park in the biggest spot in the parking lot that is right by the curb. If you're really paranoid about someone messing with your car, I'd suggest investing in a 2-way paging alarm system so you'll know if someone is messing with your car. good luck!

You read all kinds of threads about peoples Evo's getting vandalized, esp egged. Someone needs to invent a giant evo condom for protection.

First day I had the car at my high school: Paintball to dent the trunk
During the school year at my high school: Soda on my car
First month of college: Someone with a boot kicked my drivers door (dent/scratch)
Second month of college: Someone put spray cheese all over my hood/windshield

It all depends on your area and your school. I had my evo when I was in high school, and it was never touched. Then again, the majority of kids that went to my school were well off and there were a lot of nice cars. My car stuck out, but not too much (there were m3's, 350z's, s2000's, etc.). Just use your best judgment, and good luck!

The sad truth especially at your age OP just having an evo may be reason enough for some people to get jealous and valdalize it. Keep it clean be safe and buy a nice alarm

the only thing to happen to mine is someone drawing penises on my side windows, keying a window, and hitting my side mirror
