Shifter is VERY notchy and rigid...solutions?
I know this may sound crazy but since the weather is changing i have noticed the same thing in the morning but my problem was the initial shifting into reverse. My fix has been after letting it warm up for a minute, i shift into other gears before throwing into reverse and have had no problems.

Read the owners manual for the maintainceschedule. For all the drivetrain fluids, I believe every 15k for 'severe' use and 30k for 'regular' use. If you haven't chewed through the brake pads yet, expect them to go out around 20k as that seems to be about the average for a daily driven, non-tracked car.
mine evo ix mr was the same way until i had about 10,000 miles on it...then it finally started shifting smoother......now i have about 20,000 on it and it's smooth as butta....just don't try to force it into gear.....this is the first car i've ever had that requires a break in for the gear shifting...lol
