Did you get the harness? the only loose wire you should have is for the e-brake.

FWIW I ditched my TT looong ago.

purple is usualy for the Vehicle Speed sensor, So that the Turbo timer turns off if the vehicle moves and so the turbo timer can record data like acceleration times and so on. Your ECU is directly behind the glove box I belive there is a small plastic cover that prevents you from seeing directly. Poke around you'll find it. It says Engine control unit on it or something to that effect and it has like 3 or 4 connectors and like 100+ wires. Its hard to miss.

I connected mine but it's useless, really doesn't do anything.

Brown wire goes to the E-brake wire below the center column, it's the only wire attached to the E-brake handle

Purple wire goes to the Vehicle speed sensor. White/black or Black/red wire of the data link connector below and to the right of the steering wheel.

Here's how they work:

Turbo timer is in opperation (engine running, key out) Drop the E-brake and the car will shut down.

Turbo timer is in opperation. (with the E-brake already down). roll the car forward (by having it in gear and letting your foot off the clutch slowly), the car will roll a bit, then the engine will shut off.

if you want to use the hi or low mode feature on your TT then you will have to connect the purple wire.
