Not to mention if you were to cause a accident and get sued your father could also be sued since he is listed as the owner.

Don't try and blame that series of bad decisions on the insurance company. That falls on your lap my friend.
Im paying 470 Dollars a month for my car that would be 5,640.00 a Year for the car

The insurance company wants to charge me 8,000-9,000 a Year for insurance depending on the company 8,000 being the lowest.

I have a Clean record.

ANother question comes to mind. You seem real concerned if your covered to the point it sounds like you haven't told your dad yet. If you did, I'm sure he would have reported initial claim or at least investigated to ensure you were covered. Your EvoM quest leads to believe you are building courage to tell him. If you already did tell him, then he should have an answer for you.

Insurance fraud is a good reason you're being made out to be the devil. You're asking everyone who has a policy with that company to cover you even though you weren't actually on that policy, not correctly anyway. Their premiums will go up just because you wanted to drive a car you can't afford to own.

Nobody said you (your dad) had to go with that company. They didn't defraud anyone. They told him/you up front how much they'd charge. In fact, judging by your accident ("I was just driving along when all of a sudden...") I'd say 9k a year in premiums might be a little too low for your driving expertise.

For all we know the insurance company will cover it no problem even knowing the truth. Good luck.

Its kinda funny if you ask me,

How come EVERY thread started about a crashed evo now happens to be them not speeding, getting onto a highway, and magically loosing control to smash into a barrier? Am I the only one that see's this?? Is it a mitsu defect that comes from factory now that you are bound to just lose control of one of the best handling cars known to man and hit a divider WITHOUT speeding and just cruising?

Come on people, stop the BS.

Also, bro, im 21 from LI and I financed a brand new IX under my own name, insurance also under my name, full coverage is only 5k a year.... Did you happen to drive a honda before you got your evo?

I actually drove by your car right after it happened, DAM the car is totaled. I was driving a black H2 Hummer. As far as insurance goes, they will cover it. Atleast you are alive and nobody else hit you. Your car came to rest in a bad position, somebody could of easily T-Boned you. Anyhow good luck with accident, don't worry the insurance will cover it in the end.

You said you're 19 years of age. Most people that own an evo at this age usually pay somewhere around 6k+ a year or they're under their parents policy. Well thats what ive seen on the forum. Just thought your situation was kind of odd. Dont think im attacking you or anything, just found it peculiar.

at least you are ****ing fine and you didnt kill anyone (being an accident it wouldnt be YOUR FAULT but dealing with the trauma of you knowing you killed someone would hunt you the rest of your life)

You've just stated why insuring the car under your name would be that high. You have only had your license for 12 plus months.
