FQ-400 stands for 400 HP Brake Horsepower to be specific. That means the HP was checked with a brake style engine Dynometer.

The FQ I guess means F***ing Quick?

Ohh sorry, I thought you were asking what fq-400 meant

The fq-400 uses a ported Evo 16g I think. I pretty sure it still works on a Mitsubishi Turbo. It doesn't have 400 WHP.

405 BHP to be exact.. but like which of the Garrett Dual Ball Bearing Series?, I'm guessing the GT30R..anyone beg to differ?

and I looked around most people said the engineers would say the "FQ" stands for "fine-quality"..but all-in-all the it really is "****ing quick"... those UK guys have their own style of swearing..

It's ridiculously expensive, think of it as a Garret GT technology'd(CHRA) 16g frankenstein of sorts.

Those guys make it not sure where the exact product link is.

It's a garret designed and built GT30 variant with no Mitsubishi parts. It bolts to a custom cast steel manifold and O2 housing.

Why do you wanna make you Evo into a 400hp beast? If So Just get a GT30R kit from AMS with some supporting mods you should have a pretty sweet quick spooling Road machine that you can drive daily. Me I am content with 300 hp, but to each is their own.

No, it's not a ported 16G, it's not a TD series or any other mitsubishi turbo... it is a Garrett turbo.
